What is a TexShare Card?

Answer

The TexShare Card is a statewide library card that lets you borrow books and other physical materials from more than 500 libraries across the state!

TexShare Cards can be issued to customers who:

are residents of the City of Houston
have a current HPL borrower account that is at least six months old and in good standing
owe no fines or fees to the Library
complete and submit a Houston Public Library TexShare Agreement form

Apply online here or submit a paper application to any HPL location! Your TexShare card will be mailed to you within one week of receiving the completed form.
