BOOKLink is a convenient way to access HPL items from a self-service cabinet. BOOKLink kiosks can be found inside library locations, or in other areas around Houston.

How Do I Use BOOKLink?
- When placing a hold for pickup, select one of our BOOKLink locations.
- When you receive notification that your hold is ready, visit your chosen BOOKLink to retrieve your materials.
- At the BOOKLink, scan your MYLink card and enter your PIN when prompted.
- The door will unlock, allowing you to pick up your holds or any browsable materials that may have caught your eye.
- Once you close the door, the cabinet scans the materials to make sure the items were checked out to your account.
- You may print a receipt if you like.
- Most BOOKLinks allow for easy return of items! Simply scan your MYLink card and enter your PIN when prompted. Place your items on any open shelf in the cabinet to return. Once you close the door, the cabinet will scan the shelves to make sure the items were returned.

What is the return window for physical books and e-books/audiobooks?
Physical books have a three-week lending period. E-books and e-audiobooks have a two-week lending period.
