Can I submit my own writing to the collection?

Answer

Yes! Houston area authors can submit both physical and electronic works for consideration to be added to the HPL collection.

For physical copies:
  1. Submit the Local Author Submission form
  2. Print out the confirmation sheet, and attach it to the physical copy of your work.
  3. Drop off at your local Houston Public Library location OR
  4. Mail the physical work to:
    • Houston Public Library
      Library Materials Services
      Local Authors Collection Submissions
      500 McKinney Street
      Houston, TX 77002
For eBooks:

Submit to one of the following publishers that distribute to OverDrive:
