Where can I find the Short Story Dispensers?

Where can I find the Short Story Dispensers?

Answer

Short Story Dispensers are currently located in Alief Regional Library, Central Library and Walker Neighborhood Library.

What are they?

The Short Story Dispensers are kiosks that will print out a random 1-5 minute short story or comic based on the category you selected: Kid, Teen, or Adult story.

Do I have to check out a story or use my library card?

No, the story prints as soon as you select the audience button on a receipt-style paper and it is yours to keep. Think of it as a sneak peak at the stories waiting for you at the library!

How many stories can be dispensed?

There are about 275 stories that can be dispensed from the machine so far. Short-Edition, which is the maker of the Short Story Dispenser adds new stories to the collection quarterly, so the number of stories will continue to grow!

Where can I find more Short Story Dispensers?

Look for the Short Story Dispensers at Alief Regional Library, Central Library, and Walker Neighborhood Library. You can also find Short Story Dispensers almost everywhere in the world.
