Why are out-of-state resident library cards no longer being renewed?

Answer

Why are out-of-state resident cards no longer being renewed?
Due to changes in funding and library resources, the decision has been made to stop renewing out-of-state resident cards. This helps us better allocate our resources to local patrons and maintain service quality.

Can I still use the library even if I can’t renew my card?
While there are limited library services and virtual events available to all, out-of-state cardholders will not be able to access online resources, including eBooks, audiobooks, and research databases.

Will my current card still work?
Your out-of-state card will remain valid until its expiration date. After April 7, 2025, renewals will not be possible.

What should I do if my card is about to expire?
If your card is nearing its expiration date, please make sure to utilize it before April 7, 2025.
